Zabaikalsky International Film Festival
On 9-14 September 2011 Chita hosted the First Zabaikalye International Film Festival. The best motion, children's, documentary and animated pictures from Russia, Serbia, Poland, Bulgaria, China, Mongolia, Hungary and Belorussia were presented.
Film Festival Program
The program included 14 films: 8 international and 6 Russian.
Non-competition program included about 50 films.
Besides film presentation the First Zabaikalye International Film Festival included press conferences, meet-the-artist events, round tables and a series of entertainment events.

Jury Members:
1. Jovan Markovic – screen writer, President of Film company “Fim I Ton" (Serbia), awarded with the Gold Medal named after S.F. Bondarchuk "For Outstanding Contribution in Cinematography".
2. Dima Dimova – film expert (Bulgaria)
3. Yuri Shiller – film director, award winner of international film festivals.
Guests and participants of the film festival included such cinema stars as Barbra Brylska, Aleksey Petrenko, Sergey Bezrukov, Oksana Fedorova, Oleg Luybimov, Anastasia Makeeva, Valeria Lanskaya, Svetlana Ivanova, Inga Shatova, Evgeny Stychkin, Olga Stulova, Vladimir Gostuykhin (Belorussia), Lazar Ristovsky (Serbia), Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska (Poland), Itzhak Fintzi (Bulgaria), Jelena Trkulja (Serbia) etc.
The Festival Mission is to revive patriotic traditions, intergenerational continuity, preserve cultural values, to form civic mindedness though cinema, and active communication of different generations.
The peculiarity of the Zabaikalye International Film Festival is in its selection policy which focuses on modern works based on traditional moral and spiritual values, films of high artistic and aesthetic value.
The Film Festival is held under the auspices of the Zabaikalye Territory Governor - Ravil Geniatulin.
