Blooming Ledum (Tsvetuschi Bagulnik)
Tsvetuschi Bagulnik is an annual arts festival. It was established in 1974 as symphonic and chamber music festival. In 1976 the festival was awarded the status of Russian national festival.
Russian symphonic orchestras, The Pyatnitsky Russian Folk Chorus, Yurlov Russian State Academic Choir, Oleg Lundstrem Jazz Orchestra, cello players Mstislav Rostropovich and Daniil Shafran, violin player Eduard Grach and piano player Nikolay Petrov etc performed at the festival in various years. The vocal art was represented by Boris Shtokolov, Zurab Sotkilava, Arthur Eisen.
Since 2006 the festival has had the status of international festival. More than 3700 citizens of Chita and the region visited the festival concerts in 2007. The festival comprised 12 concerts, two of which were first nights of one act operas (Rimsky-Korsarov “Mozart and Salieri” performed by Vladimir Ognev and F Poulenc “The human voice”).
The festival was organized in cooperation with "Artistic assembly" fund. The festival participants were: chamber orchestra “Camerata Klaipėda” (Lithuania), award winners of international contests Roberto Prosseda (piano, Italy), Boris Andrianov (cello), Vilhelm Chipinski (violin), Nikita Agafonov (clarinet), Philip Nodel (oboe), Mikhail Trofimov (flute), lead singer of Paros opera - Merited Artist of Russia V.Ognev (basso), People’s artist of Russia Galina Boiko (soprano) and young performer, award winner of Eurovision Young Musicians Dmitry Maiboroda (piano).
The Ministry of Culture of the Zabaikalye Territory and State Institution of Culture “Zabaikalye regional philharmonics” organized the following concerts:
- Nati Mellado Flamenco Dance Theatre (Spain);
- Violin virtuoso Ouyang Dongfang (China);
- Award winner at international contests (baritone) Aleksey Parfenov (Russia);
- Award winner of international contests (saxophone) Sergey Kolosov, Elena Grinevich;
- (vocal, piano) Mikhail Miryashev, Armenui Kerobyan (Russia);
- The Asasello Quartet (Russia);
- (piano, violoncello) Silvia Chiesa, Maurizio Baglini (Italy).
