| In order to arrange proper supply of Chita population with domestic water which meets the normative requirements, it is necessary to develop confirmed useful groundwater resources of Sibir and Smolensk areas of Chita ground water deposits. The reserves are ready to launch operations. The increasing residential housing construction in the city stimulates construction and commissioning of Sibir and Smolensk water intakes. The construction of the intakes will allow to decrease load percentage on the available nets and facilities and to tackle one of the major tasks – provide population of the city including Zheleznodorozhny district, GRES, Kashtak and Solnechny settlements with proper amount of pure domestic water. The following new technologies are planned to be used during construction: - installation of a variable-frequency control station for pumping equipment, the use of this system will considerably lessen power consumption; - laying of pipelines made from anticorrosive materials (polypropylene), this will result in reduction of emergency situations on water supply networks and will eliminate recurrent contamination of domestic water; - installation of ultraviolet water purifier at relief pumping plants, this system will exclude chlorine sterilization, formation of carcinogenic and mutagenic organochloride compounds. | |||

| 110980,3 thousand USD are needed to implement the project. Sources of financing may be budgets of all levels, funds of other companies. It is necessary to discuss participation of the parties in the project implementation with the potential investor. | |||
